In early versions of Twolips, we added the ability to send gifts to those you care about. Obtaining gifts is possible by spending points that you earn through answering trivia, completing quizzes, and unlocking achievements. The store is full of different gifts that you can use to impress others in the community.
Unfortunately, it was a little unwieldy if you were viewing your own profile. In order to send a gift to someone, you had to go find that person’s profile, click Send Gift, and then click Send. Now, you can go directly to your personal inventory of gifts, select the item you want to send, and then select the person to which you want to send the gift. You can even click through multiple people to send a bundle of gifts all in quick succession!
When you view your profile inventory, you will now see a slightly different screen as shown below. The upper left corner indicates the number of that item that you own (nothing is displayed if you own only one). Below the item is the option to send the gift to someone.
Clicking the “Send” button will popup a dialog with an option to select anyone that you are currently following. If you want to send a gift to someone who isn’t on the resulting list, you will need to follow that person. This restriction was put in place to discourage people from spamming random people with gifts.
In addition, this should make discovering your friends a little simpler and more convenient than using a traditional search. The idea is that if you’re following someone, you’re probably interested in them, thus making them a likely target for your gifts. If your list grows far too big to be manageable, help us by suggesting a more ways to find people.
